Materials Science of Chocolate

Chocolate is a common sweet treat enjoyed by billions all over the world. But how does this have anything to do with materials science? Well– processing chocolate is very similar to processing steel, which is almost more important than chocolate. This module explores how processing affects the final properties of both steel and chocolate and allows for students to directly see the impacts of heat treatments in the final product of a material.
